Shipping costs skyrocketed 23 times! Multinational portcrazy price increase!!

Because of the season, and resulted in each big port clearance, abnormal congestion, recent container transport problem, lack of box is most prominent, especially the 40 ft container is most needed in the market at present, the shipping costs continue to soar, hit a record high, and the ship ship cabin, container extreme shortage problem, but also difficult to solve.

1. Epidemic and peak season

Due to the serious overseas epidemic, the secondary outbreak wreaked havoc in various countries, causing chaos, which had a very serious impact on port operations. Due to the clearance, many goods cannot be cleared in time, leading to large-scale congestion in the port, and the operating costs of shipping companies are also increasing, so they have to charge additional fees to the shippers again.

2. Congestion at British ports

Felixstowe, the UK's largest and busiest container port, has been in chaos as efficiency has slowed and ships have been delayed, affecting other UK ports.

The Felixstowe Port Users association (FPUA) said the port was "at a standstill at peak times".

It says only 180 port trailers are scheduled to operate per hour, compared with 240 a decade ago. The number of cranes moving containers per hour is down to 16, compared with the average of about 30.

The main reason the ports have come to a near standstill, according to the association, is Labour shortages. At Trinity and Landguard, it is estimated that only 70-80% of the terminals are operating.

3. The port situation in west America is still "deteriorating"

"In order to create enough space to receive the next ship's arrival, the docks are under tremendous pressure to rapidly process the increasing volume of imports."

Most of the warehouses are full, and high yard utilization and increasing dock time have created a bottleneck for ships entering the port, leading to severe congestion and compromising ship reliability, which is a concern. Import demand is expected to remain strong in the coming weeks, as are traffic jams and delays along the West Coast.
